Our Auditorium programs are great for large groups up to 150 and give students an opportunity to pause in their Aquarium explorations and engage in learning about specific topics.

Auditorium programs

Conservation Champions (live animal program)
Length: 30 minutes
Age: Great for all ages, especially 1st-4th grades
Description: Students meet 3 live animals, learn about threats to their habitats and ways that they can help become a champion for wildlife!
Sharks: Truth or Fiction
Length: 30 minutes
Age: Great for 4th-8th grades
Description: Students will participate in a shark trivia game, learn about shark biology, and have the opportunity to see and touch shark biofacts (jaws and teeth). Great for 4th-8th grades.
Tours
Join us behind the scenes for a fascinating glimpse at the inner workings of Adventure Aquarium.
Note: Tours visit areas not open to the general public and require participants to climb one flight of stairs and walk and stand on wet and uneven floors. Tours are not accessible to wheelchair users and may be difficult for individuals who require other mobility assistance devices. Group sizes/capacities may be subject to change.
Top of the Tank Tour
Length: 30 minutes
Age: 4th - 8th grade
Group size: 20 max
Take a behind the scenes tour of the Ocean Realm exhibit, home to sharks, fish, and sea turtles. This tour covers animal care, biology, conservation, and stories about our famous and beloved animal ambassadors. Ideal for 4th-8th grades. A version of this tour is available for college students and adult groups as well. Contact us here for more information.
Behind the Scenes Tour
Length: 45 minutes
Age: 9th grade and up
Group size: 20 max
This tour focuses on animal care and careers at the aquarium. Groups tour behind the scenes to experience a “day in the life” of an aquarium biologist. Tour areas are subject to change, but may include fish holding, central engineering, the water quality lab, and the food prep area. This tour also visits the top of the Ocean Realm exhibit. Great for high school, college, and adult groups.

Our hands-on classroom and lab programs are aligned with Common Core Curriculum Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. Whether you’re studying habitats or adaptations, these programs will enrich your students’ experience at Adventure Aquarium and create advocates for the environment.

Students will learn what it’s like to be a penguin, searching for food, escaping predators, and raising young. Students will be able to touch biofacts (feathers and fur), but there are NO LIVE ANIMALS in this class |

With a focus on types of plastic and recyclables, students in this interactive class will build a timeline to figure out how long it takes for items to break down in the environment, and what effect this process has on animal habitats. |

Endangered at Adventure |
Students will learn about the process for determining endangered species, and the threats facing of some species housed at Adventure Aquarium. Students will meet a live terrapin, a New Jersey endangered species. (Note, animals are not touchable). |
