Center Featured in Grid Magazine

Our free kayaking program at Pyne Poynt Park is making waves, and Grid Magazine recently spent a morning on the water with us to see it firsthand. The article follows paddlers of all backgrounds getting out on the Delaware, from first timers to returning guests who keep coming back for the sense of calm the river brings.

The feature also highlights the incredible role our CAUSE (Community and Urban Science Enrichment) teens play in the program, guiding paddlers, checking safety gear, and sharing their own love for Camden’s waterways. One of our longtime CAUSE paddling guides even talked about spotting a bald eagle soaring just feet above the water, a moment he called breathtaking.

Since launching in 2017, our kayaking program has grown from school field trips into free public outings that connect the whole community to the river right in their backyard. We’re so grateful to Grid Magazine for capturing what makes this program special.
