Husbandry Volunteer Positions

Once the Aquarium reopens, the priority will be to institute new health and safety for returning staff, current volunteers and aquarium guests. This process could take several months so we do not anticipate bringing on new volunteers until early 2021. Once we determine open positions, we will be reviewing applications in the order they were received. At that time we will contact you about your continued interest and availability. Feel free to contact us at volunteers@aquaticsciences.org if you have questions.

Adventure Aquarium has a limited number of volunteer positions in Husbandry. These positions have specific requirements (see below) and the application review process can be competitive due to the high number of applications we receive.

Applications for all Husbandry positions are accepted at any time. Applicants will be contacted only when positions become available and supervisors begin reviewing applications.

NOTE: Husbandry volunteer positions may involve exposure to inclement weather, dust, potentially dangerous and unpredictable animal species, and potentially dangerous machinery, restraint devices, toxic chemicals and/or drugs. Occasional use of protective clothing or equipment is required e.g. goggles, mask, gloves and gowns.
